Our Services
The aim of Nite Light CIC is to increase the health and wellbeing of the most vulnerable within our community by providing basic essentials. We do this in numerous ways:
- Nite Light run a Pay Forward Service for people who are homeless, this provides a cashless aid to ensure they have access to meals, snacks, drinks and hygiene essentials
- We run free market stalls throughout the Tees Valley, anyone who is struggling is welcome to collect a few items of food, clothing, hygiene essentials and small household items. We also provide tents, sleeping bags and meal cards for those who are homeless. All markets run from 11am until 1pm on the following days/locations:
- Stockton – the first 2 Mondays of each month on the High Street opposite Darlington Building Society
- Hartlepool – the first 2 Tuesdays of each month outside Lilyannes Community Café, Victoria Road
- Middlesbrough – every Thursday on Newport Road, opposite the Bus Station
- Darlington – the last Friday of every month, outside Darlington Building Society, Tubwell Row
- We provide hygiene bags for men, women and children
- Street Walks to engage with people who are homeless, provide basic essentials and make calls on their behalf to find housing and accommodation
- Small household items are provided free of charge to those who are going from the streets to a place they can call home
- A community hub which has a retail space, community café, community fridge project and where facilities such as washing machines, dryers and showers can be used by the community. There are also lots of community projects such as slow cooking courses, homework club and the use of PC’S.
